With colours famously making their ways in and out of fashion on a regular basis, whether by the season or by tradition (See Pantone Colour of the year), it had us wondering what are the Kiwi all-time favourites when it comes to painting our homes?
A nation of beautiful varying landscapes; lush green mountains, bright blue waters, and golden sands, paired with the typical lifestyle of jandal-wearing for as many months of the year as possible / a general love of the outdoors, it seemed plausible that the favourites would be reflective of these surroundings…
The actual answer?… White.
We may be all about the All Blacks, but our homes couldn’t be further from it.
According to both the Resene and Dulux top 10 paint colour charts (according to sales), we love a good plain wall. Warm or cool, we’re not fussed, as long as it comes in white.
